Welcome to Ferryhill Wheelers Cycling Club.

Subject to formal approval at our next committee meeting, you are now officially a Ferryhill Wheeler! We have a proud cycling heritage and hope you enjoy being a member for many years to come.

To help you get started, here is some essential information about the club:

Club Meetings & Subscriptions • Annual Subscriptions:

Your club fees fall due on the 1st of October each year.

• Monthly Meetings: We meet on the first Monday of every month at 8:00 pm at the Ferryhill Leisure Centre (Lambton Road, DL17 8TB). If a meeting falls on a Bank Holiday, it moves to the following Monday.

• Have Your Say: We highly encourage you to attend these meetings. It is the perfect forum to help run the club, share your views, and learn about upcoming races, sportives, and club runs.

Get Involved: You Are the Club

Ferryhill Wheelers is completely self-supporting and run entirely by its members, for its members. There is no “us” and “them”—you are the club.

Because we rely fully on volunteers to stage our events throughout the year, we ask all members to volunteer at least once a year (just two or three hours of your time). Volunteering is a fantastic way to support your teammates, learn how events work behind the scenes, and get to know other club members. If you are new to the sport, don't worry—we will provide all the guidance and help you need.

Club Kit & Staying Connected

• Club Kit: We keep a great range of official Club Cycling Kit in stock. For details or to order, please contact Fred Simpson directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

• Join the Community: We organize regular social events and club rides. Keep up with the latest updates, chat with other members, and track group rides by joining the Ferryhill Wheelers CC Facebook Group and following the Ferryhill Wheelers Cycling Club on Strava.

For any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our Club Secretary. We are thrilled to have you with us, and we look forward to riding with you and seeing you at our next social event! Best regards,

The Ferryhill Wheelers Committee
